The Interim Coordinating Committee (ICC) was established to help in the formation of Our Revolution in Massachusetts (ORMA). The first organizational meeting was held in Westport, MA in October, 2016 and was comprised of elected Sanders Democratic Convention delegates, former Sanders staffers and other progressive supporters of Senator Sanders’ platform. ORMA was launched to the public on January 28th, 2017 in Worcester, MA.

The ICC will continue to serve in an interim capacity until a more democratically elected, statewide, diverse and representational body is in place.

Archived Minutes of ICC meetings are available upon request. Forward all inquires to info@ourrevolutionma.com.

Peter Corbett (Shutesbury, MA) is a psychotherapist/social worker in Northampton.  He is originally from Burlington, VT and, after graduating from UVM in 1980, was one of the core community organizers when Bernie Sanders was elected Mayor in ‘81.  He continued to work as an organizer until 1983 when he moved to Boston to get his Masters Degree in Developmental Psychology at Harvard’s Ed. School. He has lived in Western Mass since 1987 where he raised his 2 children, was a member of Psychologist for Social Responsibility, earned an MSW from Smith College in ‘95, and set up his private practice.  Consistent with his work as an organizer, Peter has long been committed to helping his clients find ‘empowerment in the context of all relationships’.  Unable to resist his activist roots, he re-entered the world of organizing when Bernie decided to run for President.  Peter raised $3000 for Bernie’s campaign with a ‘fun’draiser riding a unicycle (the ‘one wheel of true democracy’) from Burlington, Vt to the White House in November, 2015.  Peter was a Bernie Delegate to the DNC in Philly in 2016 and a strong belief in the importance of organizing work.
