STOP! DON’T SHOP: Workers striking

Supports Striking Stop & Shop Workers

After weeks and weeks of negotiation efforts, Stop and Shop workers in MA, CT and RI walked out at 1 pm Thursday, April 11th 2019 to protest a contract offer that reduced health insurance benefits, cut vacation time, and replaced raises with bonuses. This is the first time the workers have gone on strike since 1989.

Stop and Shop is one of the last unionized large grocery chains in the country and is owned by a billion dollar profit Dutch company. This company is hoping to keep business as usual, but the union is asking that we, the shopping public, #StopDontShop and honor their picket line by shopping elsewhere.

If you have 10, 20, 30 minutes or an hour, join a picket line at a store near you and show your support to these union workers by signing this petition: https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/support-stop-shop-workers.

Help us send a message to corporate leadership at Stop & Shop to protect its friendly, knowledgeable employees and specialized customer services.

In Solidarity,

Our Revolution Massachusetts
